Tartaric acid is a white crystalline organic acid that occurs naturally in many plants, most notably in grapes. Tartaric Acid is commercially available in DL as well as L+ forms. It is an odourless, free flowing, stable and non-hygroscopic.
Availability:
The material supplied by us is mainly of Chinese Origin in 25 kg bags in both DL as well as L+ forms.
Uses:
Customers from construction chemicals, metal treatment, textile and number of other industries are being served by us. Worldwide Tartaric Acid is also used in alcoholic beverages, emulsifiers, pharmaceuticals, foods, textile processing, electro chemicals etc. In the textile industry, tartaric acid acts as a stabilizer in nylon dyeing and in cellulosic fiber bleaching with peroxide. In the plastics industry, tartaric acid is used as a polymerization agent of methyl methacrylate, phenol-formaldehyde resins, PVC, and acrylonitrile. In metals, it is used as a complexing agent in metal cleaning for copper and alloys, aluminum, and ferrous metals. It is used in ceramics as a component in special clays.
